How to play

🃏 Cards

Each card has a strength determined by its rank and suit. Rank is more important than suit.

Ranks (from weakest to strongest)

3 < 4 < 5 < 6 < 7 < 8 < 9 < J < Q < K < A < 2

Suits (from weakest to strongest)

♣Clubs < ♦Diamonds < ♥Hearts < ♠Spades

Example: King ♥ is stronger than Queen ♠, because rank is more important than suit.

🧩 Combinations

  • Single card

    Weakest: 3♣   Strongest: 2♠

  • Pair

Two cards of the same rank. The stronger card determines the strength of the pair.

    3♣ 3♠ > 3♦ 3♥

  • Two pairs

The higher pair determines the combinations strength.

  • Three of a kind

Three cards of the same rank.

  • Full house

Three of a kind + a pair. The triplet defines the strength.

  • Four of a kind

Four cards of the same rank.

  • Flush

Five cards of the same suit. The strongest card decides the strength.

  • Straight

Five cards in sequential rank, any suits. 2s cannot be used.

Strength is based on the rank and suit of the highest card.

  • Straight flush

Straight in a single suit. 2s cannot be used.

    Strongest straight flush:

    10♠ J♠ Q♠ K♠ A♠

👥 Players

For 2 to 4 players.

🎲 Game Flow

Starting a round

  • Each player receives 13 cards.
  • In the first round, the player with the weakest dealt card starts and must play it in the first combination.
  • In later rounds, the previous winner starts and can play any valid combination.

Turn order

  • A player plays a combination.
  • The next player can play a stronger combination of the same type or pass.
  • If all others pass, the last active player starts a new combination.
  • The round ends when one player runs out of cards.

Scoring

  • The winner of the round gets 0 points. Other players receive 1 point per remaining card.
  • The game ends when a player reaches a set point limit (e.g. 50).
  • The player with the lowest score wins.

📌 Final Notes

  • 2s cannot be used in straights or straight flushes.
  • If a straight is on the table, a player may beat it with a straight flush — but only if its highest card is stronger. After that, the combination is upgraded to a straight flush, and players can no longer respond with a straight.
